Kunstmaskina is located in Ura in the town of Fosnavåg. It comprises a gallery, an art studio and a shop selling art souvenirs. Havlandet is located in one of the largest and most important fishing grounds in Norway. Here you can go sea fishing, crab fishing, or enjoy fresh fish in the local restaurants or directly from the Meny store in the centre of Fosnavåg. You can fish from quays or bridges, in rockpools or in deep water from a boat. Boat rental available if required.

In Havlandet, it's not about how high you climb but where you get the best view. You can hike across the heather-clad moors towards the sea, or across larger plains if you are hiking in Gurskøya, the largest island in Herøy. Havlandet offers a pleasant mix of steep, wild terrain and gentle mountain hikes. Common to all the hikes are the magical view of the ocean and the other islands in Havlandet.
Join the boat trip with Aquila and Johan in the waters around the bird cliff in Runde. From an open fishing boat, experience the birds on the bird cliffs up close, and when the sea is calm, the boat will take you in to the cave at Rundebranden. Havlandet offers a wide range of bathing options: The Sunnmørsbadet water park is a good choice, and you will find plenty of good sandy beaches and smooth rockpools there. Mulevika, Nautøya, Sandesanden and Runde. The water may not be warm, but at least it's fresh and clean!

A seventy-year old restored barn in Nærøy is home to landscape photographer Kristoffer Nærø Ytterland's own gallery. Meirennusenord Løda is beautiful both inside and out, with a particularly authentic and well-preserved interior. Culture is an important part of life for people living in Havlandet. Here you will find both Fosnavåg Concert Hall, which holds concerts throughout the year, and Herøy Kulturhus, home to a busy culture school in the municipality. Herøy Kystmuseum is a true gem that can take you on a long and exciting journey into the local history, and every July this history is told through an open-air performance known as Herøyspelet.
Many flock to Havlandet to surf the impressive waves that you can find in the local area in the surroundings of Runde. Kite surfing is also a popular activity here. The waters in and around Havlandet is perfect for kayaking and diving if you want crystal-clear waters.
First check if there any boats heading into the mouth of Fosnavåg Harbour. If clear, press the button - wait one minute – and the 30-metre-long footbridge will take you to the other side. A whole new district will open up before you, allowing you to take an exciting walk around Våje.
In Havlandet, you can kayak in the sea when it's calm, or between the islands, islets and skerries on windier days. Havlandet offers excellent and varied spots for diving. In good weather, you can spend a long time at sea. You could even hunt for more treasures outside Runde! When the sea is at its calmest, the caves in the bird cliff at Runde are well worth exploring, and the underwater scenes are particularly colourful.
